Hello Loves!

I have returned from the California work conference baked like a carrot cake! My skin tone is a bit hard to notice change on except when you see the non-tanned areas, then you notice how dramatically I change colors. I mean honestly beginning of this summer I was waiting for my train for 15 minutes in the beating sun and my skin just changed like a chameleon several shades darker on my leg where my dress stopped. Oh and I colored my hair in Cali! it was all shades of rose gold and pink – you can check it out on my instagram account (clostuntress). I am planning to recolor it mid August and haven’t figured out what yet – Any ideas?

I loved the West Coast and all its people. Everyone we met was very cheerful and happy oh and not to forget friendly. I really think they need to rub off on us East coasters. We are very grouchy and unaccommodating at times. It is okay to mind our own business but I think being polite in public is something alot of us have forgotten well mainly big cities and upper east coast. Our metro and fast paced life has almost sucked the fun out of us. We don’t seem like the people who will stop and smell the roses haha.

Anyway although I am still sitting here healing myself and have been unable to see the face of a gym, I have somehow learnt the art of being a full blown DC/Arlingtonian – people who live in athletic wear – I did see alot of that in Cali too! Made me feel very much at home.  I think it is also a constant reminder to myself that what health hazzards I have are only temporary and maybe another few months or tops a year – I will be back to being active and where I want to be. Progress of any sort is good, and I guess this is a year of mental progress for me – learning to love myself no matter what.

On this particular day hubby wanted to do a couple shoot but we really didn’t think this one through and jumped in head first haha – most of the pictures turned out goofy cause I am a totally different person around him and some were way too cool not to post. Over all I will call it a good dry run for a future shoot together cause we never really do that. This was more of a fun shoot because we tried some new photography concepts that hubby has been thinking about. Perks of being married to a photographer! I like how some pictures truned out ghostly and wanted me to name them “The girl is a ghost” (A little twist on Game of Thrones A girl has no name). Let me know what you think of these 🙂 Until next time loves!
