Hi lovelies!

This has to be my all time fave post! There are just so many layers in this post and so many lessons! East coast weather has been extremely nice lately. February used to be one of our coldest month in DC but it has been very spring like! Although the reasons behind it might be quite scary – it is the perfect moment to slowly start transitioning into Spring outfits. On this particular occasion we decided to stroll around the city and just do what we do best – EAT! lol

I wanted to wear something fun, fashion forward, comfortable and something that screams WELCOME SPRING. If you follow me on instagram I had asked a puzzle of the day question which was “Can you spot the dress?” and unfortunately most people couldn’t figure it out but apparent my skirt is just a racerback dress whose straps I tucked into the top half of the dress! I really wanted to go for a monochromatic Olive look and the dress was just there ready for the ride!

For those of you obsessed with the Adidas NMDs hurry hurry. I have tagged the specific NMDs that I am wearing down at the bottom of the post. At the time of posting this – they are still in stock!

Olive green a color that can be worn in any weather. With the right set of accessories and items you pair it with, you can take it from Fall to Spring. Most people will opt for a black bralet but if you swap that out for a white one – you have a perfect outfit for Spring transition and if the weather gets a bit too warmish…well drop the bomber and you have a whole new look put together that will keep you cool as a cucumber (haha pun intended with all the green in this post).

Once again to stand out always look for a signature piece or unique item when putting an outfit together. In the sea of bombers these days – everyone and their grandma (not really) owns one but I opted for this one that has back zip detailing as well as the internal lining is a bright orange color! A piece like this will always other chicas on the street stopping and asking you “Where did you get that?” and that is the exact moment you know – you have scored yourself an awesome outfit.

Now onto the layers of lessons I mentioned at the beginning of the post? As always most things on Closet Huntress are about Personal Comfort – Looking fierece while being comfortable. Never be scared to try out new things. Wear your sneakers with your dress flipped into a skirt – why not? Do it.  Be street and fashion savvy! Reuse items in your closet multiple ways, Closet Huntress definitely aims to teach you that. Wear a bra let but keep a bomber, jacket or cardigan handy – something you can always zip up because you never know where the day might take you and you don’t want to be caught off guard. It will also ensure that if you feel somewhat conscious trying out the bralet as a top trend – you can do it at your own pace. Revealing as much and as little as you want.

Let me know what you think! Until next time loves!
