Hi Lovelies!
The lace trend is on fire this spring season and for me it is always a wardrobe staple. I never shy away from wearing lace because there is just so much you can do with it. I know alot of times us female see a sheer top and either cringe away from buying it all together because its considered a little too risque or we immediately opt for a matching color tank.
But I am here to share with you the versatility of a sheer or sheer lace top and open your eyes to the fact that actually it is superior to the lace tops that you will buy with lining attached to them. So let’s dig in.

Now when you buy a sheer lace top, you can add any color lining to it, to get a totally different effect. You can do a black lace top with a red lining or a blue – You can co-ordinate it to match the color of your bottoms or go with a color block option. You can be daring and wear a bralet underneath it in a matching or alternate color or if you are really going to push the limits – then you can opt for pasties (something that I haven’t tried yet myself). The brilliance of having a sheer top is you can make it event or venue specific. You can wear a thin sleeveless tank underneath it to work, swap to a spaghetti strap tank for dinner with in-laws or parents. Wear a bralet or pasties for a night out in town with your Significant other or Girlies. Heck these tops are also weather proof based on what you wear underneath them – you can be warm and cozy or breezy for spring/summer. I mean honestly its ONE top worn a million different ways…how can you say no to it?

Then there was this beautiful find that I located about 2 weeks ago. It is actually tri-colored – go me! Even more ways to wear it. I recall seeing an expensive runway dress that looked identical but in different set of colors. I saw it on a few bloggers and to my dismay – I could never get my hands on it. Then lo and behold I found this top years later. Well unfortunately it is not a dress but you know what I had loved the concept so much that I am truly content with half an outfit then a full outfit :). I can wear it with any of the colors that appear in the top black, blue, red? heck I mean you can even go out the box and add a 4th color such as nude, blush pink etc. The top just screams options!
I opted to wear a bralet since it was one of the warmer 70 degree days on the east coast. And since I had just bought the pencil skirt – I was like sure why the heck not? Lets do this! We just went and grabbed some dinner and drinks after doing the blog shoot and I starting mulling over what I am going to change to make this outfit a bit more work appropriate. Add a black tank, blazer and skirt and viola – no one will know where this top was last night partying it up *wink wink*

My entire outfit is luckily available online and listed in the widget. I have also shared some similar options with you guys!

Alright lovelies until next time!
